Recipes

Here are some great body care recipes you can do at home. I'll periodically add more so check back often.

For Face

Strawberry and Cream Face Mask

3-4 medium ripe strawberries, preferably organic
1 tablespoon heavy cream
1 tablespoon organic raw honey

Mash strawberries with the back of a fork or purée them in a food processor or blender. Add cream and honey to the purée and mix well forming a thick mixture.

Apply to clean face and neck avoiding the area around the eyes. Leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse off with water and cotton pads. Finish with a little light moisturizer (CGN's Hydrosol Toner is excellent for this).

This mask and cleansing and nourishing. The honey and cream nourishes tired skin and the salicylic acid in the strawberries cleanses by removing impurities and dead skin cells. If you are allergic to strawberries, you may use raspberries instead. For problematic skin change the cream to yogurt which will help balance the pH of the skin. You can use this mask once a week. If you make the mask ahead of time, use it within a couple of hours of mixing.

Banana Anti-Wrinkle Mask

1 small banana
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1 tablespoon organic raw honey
1 tablespoon oat flour**

Mash the banana with the back of a fork. Add cream honey and oat flour. Stir to mix well. You may need to add a little more cream or flour to get the right consistency which should be about that of a thick cream or yogurt.

Apply to clean face avoiding the area around the eyes. Leave on for 30 minutes. Rinse off with water and cotton pads. Finish with a little light moisturizer (CGN's glycerin spray is excellent for this).

Bananas are nutrient rich and one of the most nourishing fruits around. They contain magnesium, potassium, iron, zinc, iodine, and vitamins A, B, E and F. Th addition of the cream and organic honey really pack a wallop t help prevent wrinkles.*

**Out flour can be found in most whole food stores. Or you can make you own by grinding uncooked oatmeal, not instant, in a blender until fine.
